St Nicholas Choir

We are very fortunate that this church is unique amongst Parish Churches in Norfolk to maintain a traditional choir of men and boys, who support our worship on a weekly basis. The tradition of men and boys choirs goes back to monastic times, and is one of the longest unbroken traditions in England.

We invite you to come and share in this tradition, and be enriched by it. The choir has members aged 7 - 70, and they come from all walks of life. A vibrant social side is enjoyed by all, choirboys having a social club following their tuesday practice, and 'the gents' having their own social activities away from the church.  As well as singing for church services, the choir partakes in a number of special services throughout the year and also sings at other venues, including many local churches, Norwich Cathedral, and places further afield. The choir also gives concerts, and is in the process of recording an album entitled "from darkness to light."

More information about the choir, as well as contact details can be found in the St Nicholas Choir leaflet, or come and speak to our choirmaster, David Ballard, after any service at the church.
